The West Side is a real unique sounding stick. The grip size measures comfortably in-between a 5A and 5B. The small rounded oval style tip blends right into the neck and taper of the stick for a unique feel and sound dynamic. The Vater brand was officially established in November of 1991, but the Vater family history with drumsticks started decades earlier, making a few bespoke items in the basement of Boston's legendary Jack's Drum Shop.
